Men ACWY Campaign - A new vaccination programme for those aged 18 years as at 31 August 2015 (school year 13), has been introduced. Public Health England are recommending that this age group be the first cohort to be vaccinated through primary care services. This new programme is a single-dose vaccination and will protect against meningococcal types A, C and Y. As such this vaccine replaces the current MenC vaccine from 1 August 2015.

If you are 18 yeard old as at 31 August 2015 and are interested in receiving this vaccination, please contact the surgery and arrange an appointment with the Practice Nurse. Please note the scheme does not commence until the 1 August 2015 but you will be able to book an appointment to attend for your vaccination during July.

CURRENTLY FOR CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 10 - 16YRS. IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER YOUR CHILD HAS PREVIOUSLY HAD THE FULL COURSE OF MMR VACCINE OR ONLY EVER HAD THE 1ST DOSE, PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
