Please be polite to our staff. We will not tolerate abusive or aggressive behavior and this will result in your removal from our patient list.
We are continuing to experience a very high demand for appointments. Our receptionists are trained to triage patients to ensure they receive appropriate advice. This may mean redirecting patients to another NHS service, community pharmacy, or our website which contains lots of help and advice.
Our service has been maintained throughout the pandemic in difficult circumstances. The number of GP appointments offered has increased by 50% since 2019 (using figures from the same week in May 2019, 2020 and 2021 the number of GP appointments offered were 303, 403 and 454 respectively). This is partly due to the efficiencies of using remote consulting via telephone and video, but mainly due to the dedication of our staff.
Despite also increasing the number of phone lines in the practice by 50% as well as increasing the number of receptionists, our phone lines are still extremely busy. We appreciate patients may find this frustrating but we are doing our best to deal with calls as quickly as possible.
